Haydom Lutheran Hospital welcomes interns, volunteers, and visitors from around the world. Our goal is to ensure that your stay is meaningful and adds value to our community.

Doctors & Nurses

Doctors & Nurses

Experienced doctors, specialists, dentists, and midwives are welcome to apply depending on hospital needs. You will work directly in clinical areas and contribute to patient care.

Students

Students

Medical and nursing students seeking internships, electives, or research placements are accepted. A letter from your school is required, and a minimum stay of 6 weeks is encouraged.

Volunteers

Volunteers

Professionals in IT, accounting, HR, and other fields can contribute to hospital operations. No medical background is required, but your skills should match our needs.

Hospital Friends

Casual visitors and supporters who wish to bring care, compassion, and encouragement to patients and staff. Your presence positively impacts our community and patient morale.

Visitor Requirements

  • Doctors & Dentists: Must hold a valid license and work clinically while at Haydom.
  • Students: Must provide a letter from school and commit to 6+ weeks.
  • Volunteers: No medical background required; professionals appreciated.

Preparations for Your Visit

  • Medical check-up and vaccinations.
  • Valid visa and work permit (if required).
  • Travel arrangements to Haydom (via Arusha).
  • Travel & health insurance coverage.
