Director of Administration and Human Resources (DAHR)

The Directorate of Administration and Human Resources provides strategic leadership in administrative governance and human capital management. The directorate ensures effective workforce planning, compliance with labor laws, institutional policies, and the provision of supportive administrative services that enable efficient hospital operations.

Oversees general administrative functions, coordination of services, and institutional operations.

Human Resources

Manages recruitment, deployment, performance management, staff welfare, and capacity development.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Supports hospital operations through reliable information systems, data management, and digital infrastructure.

Social Welfare

Provides psychosocial support and social assistance to patients and families in need.

External Relations and Communication

Manages institutional communication, partnerships, public relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Legal Services

Provides legal advice, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages legal matters and disputes.

Security

Ensures safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and hospital property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for administrative and human resource management functions.
  • Serve as the principal advisor to the Executive Director on administration, labor laws, human resource policies, and institutional governance.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, staff regulations, accreditation requirements, and hospital policies.
  • Promote staff welfare, positive employee relations, and a conducive working environment.
  • Develop and implement human resource policies, procedures, disciplinary mechanisms, and workforce plans.
  • Prepare and manage departmental strategic, tactical, and operational plans, including annual budgets.
  • Supervise, mentor, and appraise departmental heads and staff under the directorate.
  • Coordinate institutional performance appraisal processes and consolidate staff appraisal reports.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director in support of hospital objectives.
