two-week orthopaedic surgical training camp, held at Haydom Lutheran Hospital, aims at strengthening local healthcare professionals' capacity and improving surgical care services. The first week focuses on a Training of Trainers (ToT) program, equipping 10 orthopaedic surgeons and doctors with advanced clinical and teaching skills. The second week offers two specialized courses: Safe Anaesthesia (for 15 anaesthetists) and Basics of Open Fracture Management (for 25 doctors and nurses). These efforts are meant to ensure safe, quality, and sustainable surgical healthcare services and promote surgical equity in underserved communities.
